How To Tell When Your Cartridge Needs To Be Replaced?
Unlike many pool parts, filter cartridges have no moving parts or electrical components that can "die". What happens is the filter media within the cartridge will gradually clog up over time, as more particles and contaminants are captured within.
In spas, the most common reasons a cartridge becomes clogged are perspiration, soaps, chemicals, and body oils. If you find yourself needing to clean the cartridge more often than when first purchased, that is a sign that the cartridge is becoming impacted and needs replacing.
