Sequence of Events – Breather 1 Automatic Reset
Vacless Electrical Breathers provide immediate vacuum relief upon entrapment by allowing atmospheric air to rapidly fill the pump pot while simultaneously turning off the pump. Electrical units include a three minute time delay restart and audible alert.
The pump starts and runs the normal filtration cycle using 110VAC, 220VAC or 3 PH power supply. Upon entrapment, the vacuum level inside the pot is elevated creating a differential pressure across the seal. Atmospheric air pushes the seal compressing a spring until the O-Ring crosses grooves that allow atmospheric air to rapidly fill the pot making the pump loose prime quickly freeing the entrapment. The entire travel of the seal occurs within milliseconds and after the entrapment is freed the seal automatically springs back to normal operating position for re-priming.
Operation
Due to the specific nature of the centrifugal pumps, normally installed on swimming pools, spas and hot tubs; high vacuum levels are created at the pump inlet port. Once an obstruction exists anywhere in the pump suction side, high vacuum is created. The vacuum force will cause instantaneous displacement of the sealing element allowing air to rapidly flow thru air channels causing the pump to loose prime for an instantaneous release of the entrapment. Our electronic models will additionally trigger a limit switch sending al signal to the control panel turning off the circulation pump simultaneously.
Vacless SVRS valves will adjust themselves to any existing pool piping configuration and filtration system with our adjustable models allowing suction relief for even the most unusual applications compliance tested up to 200 feet. The secret is an innovative proprietary seal design that compensates pneumatically to any pool system variations using a 0.5 to 10.0 horsepower pump. This orthogonal seal system comprises a rubber o-ring that is mounted on a moving disc and positioned in such a way to perform dual face and radial sealing. The face sealing is responsible for blocking the atmospheric air from entering the pump during normal operation and the radial sealing is responsible for the seal travel until it releases air into the pump pot.
